CAVE OF FORGOTTEN DREAMS (2010)

Documentary in which director Werner Herzog is given exclusive access to film inside the Chauvet caves of Southern France, capturing the oldest known pictorial creations of humankind in their astonishing natural setting.

This film opens at the Grand Cinema on Friday, May 20, 2011.

AGUIRRE:  THE WRATH OF GOD (1972)

Directed by Werner Herzog @ 93 minutes.

The film stars Klaus Kinski, Helena Royo, Ruy Guerra, and Del Negro.

Synopsis: After the destruction of the Inca Empire, a Spanish expedition floats down the Amazon River in search of El Dorado. Don Aguirras becomes the leader–will their quest lead to the “golden city”, or to their destruction?

FITZCARRALDO (1982)

Directed by Werner Herzog @ 158 minutes.

The film stars Klaus Kinski, Claudia Cardinale, Jose Lewgoy, Paul Hittscher

Synopsis: Brian Fitzgerald, a rubber baron, is an obsessed opera lover, and he decides to build an opera house in the middle of the Jungle; but first he has to find a way to haul a full-sized river boat over a mountain.
