BLUE JASMINE @ THE GRAND CINEMA

Picture 6

Our theatrical pick for September is this new Woody Allen film. It opens at the Grand Cinema on Friday, August 23, 2013. We hope it will run for at least two weeks. We have 3.5 weeks before the Film Club discusses it on Wednesday, September 18, 2013. So, per usual, get out to see this film as soon as you can.

Blue-Jasmine-Movie-Review-2

“A meaty, fully realized drama that cleverly functions as both an update of “A Streetcar Named Desire” and a satire on One Percent excess.” – Justin Chang, Variety
Picture 23
“An examination of existential crisis and self-delusion that is nimble, glancingly funny and yet also marked by sly, unstressed depths.” – Brent Simon, Screen International
