Producers’ Film Picks for November 2013
In preparation for some new changes coming along for the TFC in 2014, we have decided to pick (2) film member film choices, and one film at the Grand Cinema; there is no theme, just a wide spectrum of Celluloid Excellence. 
WADJDA (2013)
Directed by Haifaa Al Mansour @ 98 minutes
The film stars Waad Mohammed, Reem Abdullah, & Abdullrahman Al Gohani.
Synopsis: An enterprising young Saudi girl signs up for her school’s Koran
Recitation competition in hopes she can win the money it will take for her to purchase a wonderful green bicycle she has dreamed of owning.
This film opens at the Grand Cinema on Friday, October 25, 2013.
Written & Directed by Robert Downey, Sr. @ 84 minutes.
The film stars Arnold Johnson, Allen Garfield, Stan Gottlieb, & Bert Lawrence.
Synopsis:  This is a dark satire with a token black man in a good old boy’s Ad Agency Executive Board who gets accidently appointed the CEO. He immediately fires all the white ad men, and hires his militant friends, changing the name of the firm to Truth & Soul, Inc. But in a short time, Putney discovers that being the one in charge is not what he had visualized.

The film stars Catherine Deneuve, Ian Hendry, Patrick Wymark, and Yvonne Furneaux.
Synopsis:  Carol, a beautiful, but unstable young girl, is left alone in her shared apartment when her sister, Helen, leaves on a vacation. Trouble appears quickly, & Carol finds herself surrounded by demons and is pushed into catalepsy, a form of schizophrenia, which deepens into madness.
