Film Picks for May 2014

The film stars Sean Gullette, Mark Margolis, Ben Shenkman,
& Pamela Hart.

Synopsis: Max is a genius mathematician who has erected a super computer at home that provides new data that can be interpreted as a key for understanding all existence; two factions begin to try & seduce the truth out of him, a Hasidic Cabal, & a powerful Wall Street firm.

Tagline: Faith in Chaos.

The film won the Best Director award at Sundance.


Written & Directed by Michelangelo Frammartino @ 88 minutes.

The film stars Guiseppe Fuda, Bruno Timpano, & Nazareno Timpano.

Synopsis: An old shepherd lives his final days in a quiet village in the hills of Cababria, at the southern most tip of Italy. He is ill, & he believes that the dust on a church floor is medicinal, so he drinks it in his water daily. Part Zen meditation, part metaphysics, this creative tale will astonish you.

New York Times: Amazing, endlessly mysterious.

The film was a winner at the Cannes Film Festival.


PARTICLE FEVER is playing presently at the Grand Cinema. It is scheduled to stay there for at least another week, through Thursday, May 1, 2014.

PI will screen at the Center for Spiritual Living on Friday evening, May 2, 2014.

on Friday evening, May 9, 2014.

The Discussion night for these three remarkable films will be
Wednesday, May 14, 2014; the first Wednesday following the
second screening.
