MILES AHEAD (2015)

Written, Produced & Directed by Don Cheadle @ 100 minutes.

The film stars Don Cheadle, Ewan McGregor, & Emayatzy Corinealdi.

Synopsis: This film is labeled “ A Bio-Pic–with improvisation”. It deals with the life & music of jazz trumpeter, Miles Davis.

Taglines: It takes a long time to learn to play like yourself.

               If your gonna tell a story, come with some attitude.

This film has already opened at the Grand Cinema, so as per usual, consider getting out to see as soon as possible.

LET’S GET LOST (1988)

Directed by Bruce Weber @ 120 minutes.

The film stars Chet Baker, Carol Baker, & Vera Baker.

Synopsis: This an acclaimed documentary on the life & times of Mr. West Coast Cool, jazz trumpeter, Chet Baker. A mix of interviews with family & friends, & archival footage from the 50’s.

EXIT THROUGH THE GIFT SHOP (2010)

Directed by Banksy @ 77 minutes.

The film stars Banksy, Mr. Brainwash, Space Invader, & Zeus.

Synopsis: This odd, but sweet film is a quasi-documentary/comedy about Banksy & other world famous street graffiti artists. The “plot”is concerned with an eccentric French shopkeeper who tries to make a documentary on Banksy, but ends up being the subject of another film directed by Banksy.

Taglines: How one man set out to film the unfilmable–& failed.

               The world’s first street art disaster movie.
